The soft head has very dark green leaves that are slightly crumpled and thicker than most with a crisp texture and a creamy yellow inside that forms a small 6 inch rosette. Soft, buttery-textured loosely held leaves enclose a crisp, juicy, sweet-tasting mild buttery flavored center.
