Whether you call it a dibble, dibber, or dibbler, the DeWit Wooden Dibber makes planting easy and quick. The ultimate tool for sowing seeds, planting bulbs or potatoes. Handcrafted of ash hardwood with a brass tip. Depth measurements are engraved in the handle. Leather thong for easy hanging and storage. This tool is guaranteed a lifetime! And makes a great gift for the gardeners in your life or for yourself! On April 1, 1898, Willem DeWit started his blacksmith company in a small village in northern Holland. Today, the 4th generation of the forging family is running the company. Old-fashioned quality combined with innovative designs make DeWit the ultimate gardener's choice. Using the latest equipment and techniques combined with historical craftsmanship make DeWit one of the most respected garden tool manufacturers in the world. European Ash hardwood handle is strong but lightweight, and also has elasticity so the tool can bend without breaking. The Ash hardwood comes from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified forests.
Not great quality. The brass tip broke off within 1 hour of use, and the strap broke as well. I will be looking for a different dibber for future use.
I have some fairly dense clay soil. Until the tilth improves, I need a dibbler for transplanting. I have used this dibbler between April-May 2021 to transplant about 1000 lettuces, turnips, and herbs. The metal tip has broken off. What is left of the wooden end is further deteriorated. What's worse is the nasty nasty blisters on my palm. Some kind of T-handle would shift the torq from the hand skin to the tool. I will never buy this again.
